“After this week, things will start to settle down…” What other lies do we tell ourselves? Yeesh.

In this week’s episode, motherhood wellness expert Alyson Hempsey and women’s health expert and pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Marcy Crouch are NOT discussing any one thing in particular. In fact, they are chatting about ALL the things that just build up over time until we, as moms, feel like we’re going to self-destruct at any moment.

The biggest takeaway from this episode is learning what things you can choose to take off of your plate so that you can be the best version of yourself. You have to put your mask on first, mama, before you can help others.

For Alyson, that means hitting the pause button on social media. We all know moms are superheroes and we’re capable of doing anything, which can be really difficult to admit when you need a break. But, we’re here to tell you that you DO deserve the break and you don’t need to justify it with reasons other than you just need one.

Be sure to join us every Wednesday for new episodes of No Mama Left Behind. We share a variety of topics related to motherhood, pregnancy, the postpartum period, recovery, mental health, vaginas, and everything in between!
