The Deets About Endo & Fertility
Women’s health expert and pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Marcy Crouch has the “pelvic floor” (get it?), along with motherhood wellness expert Alyson Hempsey, as she does a deep dive into all things endometriosis and how this condition can affect your pelvic floor and fertility.
Endometriosis is often very painful. This disorder is caused when tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus (the endometrium) grows outside of your uterus. With endometriosis, the endometrial-like tissue acts like it’s supposed to– it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. But, because this tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped.
This can sometimes cause severe pain, especially during menstrual periods. And sadly, fertility problems may also develop.
You'll learn everything you need to know, including some of the not-so-common symptoms of this condition, when you tune in!
