Gestational Diabetes with Dr. Molly
Season 1 Episode 21
In today's episode, pelvic floor and women's health expert Dr. Marcy Crouch and motherhood wellness expert Alyson Hempsey welcome a very special guest, NMLB team member Dr. Molly, as she shares her experience with Gestational Diabetes. There are known risk factors associated with a Gestational Diabetes diagnosis, but, as we learn from Dr. Molly you can also have no risk factors and still be diagnosed. The screening for Gestational Diabetes is a routine practice, and you can expect to be screened for it between weeks 24-28 (typically) of your pregnancy. Alyson discusses the impacts this diagnosis has on mental health, and offers insight into how to manage anxiety.
Join us weekly as we talk all things related to motherhood, pregnancy, the postpartum period, recovery, mental health, vaginas, and everything in between.
