Mamas, you don’t want to miss this one.

In this week’s episode, motherhood wellness expert Alyson Hempsey and women’s health expert and pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Marcy Crouch are chatting about one woman’s real-life experience with trying to get pelvic floor help after giving birth.

While telling this story, Dr. Marcy discusses a common theme she sees in her practice: women who are brushed off over and over when trying to seek help with their pelvic floor following delivery.

Well-meaning medical providers are simply not versed in women’s pelvic floor conditions, which sadly leaves many women uncomfortable and left in pain because they are led to believe there isn’t much to do. In this episode, you’ll hear about one of Dr. Marcy’s patients and her emotional experience with giving birth, symptoms she began noticing while she was postpartum, and why it was so difficult for her to finally be seen by a pelvic floor PT.
