In today's episode,  pelvic floor and women's health expert Dr. Marcy Crouch and motherhood wellness expert Alyson Hempsey talk about how what we say, and what we hear, can affect us during motherhood. As moms, we've all experienced some sort of exposure to this unwanted language. Marcy shares an example after a nurse told her following a miscarriage that, "at-least you know you can get pregnant". Alyson discusses the Toxic Positivity culture and how this, along with the language we use and hear, can trigger health outcomes. Together they share examples and offer advice for what we, and medical professionals, can say instead to promote healthier physical and mental health outcomes.

Join us weekly as we talk all things related to motherhood, pregnancy, the postpartum period, recovery, mental health, vaginas, and everything in between.
